HISTORY OF CANN-DEE-APPLE CATTERY
We have been breeding Traditional Siamese cats (Appleheads) at Cann-Dee-Apple Cattery since 1993. In addition to Traditional Siamese, we breed Traditional Color Point Siamese, and Traditional Balinese. Our cattery has been tested for FeLV and FIV and has been found to be FREE of both.

THE QUEENS
We began our breeding program in 1993 with Sassy, Bonkers and Flossy. Their kittens were Seal Points. We expanded to include other queens in order to provide more variety in coat colors. Our queens are now providing us with Chocolate, Bluepoint and Colorpoint kittens. All are Traditional or Classic type. Newer queens were added to provide more variety in coat colors. Jasmine, a Tortie Point (Tortoise Shell) has had Seal Points, Blue Points, Flame Points and Tortie points. Her sister, Delilah's has had Seal Points and Blue Points. Crissy, a Traditional Balinese, and Muffin, a Classic Blue Point Siamese were added to our program along with April and Dixie. Some of our older queens have entered retirement, while the younger ones continue to produce beautiful kittens in a good variety of colors and types. |

| THE KITTENS
Newborn kittens are kept in large kitty playpens with their mothers during their first 3 weeks of life. The queens are free to come and go during the day at will. As soon as the kittens are old enough to walk about, they are moved into a room, in which they can play, climb and practice their stalking, prowling and ambushing skills. Cann-Dee-Apple kittens have a clean, safe, and stimulating environment, with a variety of toys, scratching posts, climbing equipment, windows to look out of, cozy hammocks to nap in, and boxes to hide in. Litter, dry kitten food and water are always available. Our kittens are handled frequently every day. I know that early in a kitten's life frequent handling is crucial to socialization with humans. At 10 weeks, the kittens are ready to go to their new homes. Each kitten will have had a first shot by that time (Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-panleukopenia vaccine), and will have been given medication to ensure that it is free of parasites (Strongid-T). |

RETIRED QUEENS
Occasionally a queen must be retired from breeding, but would be a wonderful pet for the right person (or persons). If you seek a healthy, sociable and mature pet, please inquire about adopting a retired queen form Cann-Dee-Apples Cattery.
FOOD
Eukanuba, Iams, Science Diet, and Pro-Plan are used, with wonderful results.
SHIPPING
Cann-Dee-Apple Cattery does not ship by air. We invite you to visit and choose your new family member from our kittens.
STUD SERVICE
Yes! Stud service is offered with a written Stud Contract. Pregnancy is guaranteed or the return of the Queen is accepted up to three times to become pregnant. The visiting Queens health must be validated by presenting a Vet Certificate of health and proving vaccinations. The FelV test and the Feline Aids Blood tests must be negative.
REGISTRY USED
Cann-Dee-Apple Cattery uses the Registry of the Traditional Cat Association, Inc. exclusively.
SPECIAL SERVICES
We consider one of our services to be consumer education. I give a kitten care booklet to everyone who buys a kitten and I spend time with those who ask questions, or who need some guidance. I clip articles and hand out a good amount of information.
VETERINARY PET INSURANCE
Although our cattery takes great pride in breeding health kittens, there are times when a young pet may need medical attention. Whether it is an accident or injury, you'll be reassured to know that you can take your kitten to any licensed vet worldwide, and you don't need pre-approval, with the 90 day coverage with VPI. This is included with every Cann-Dee-Apples kitten as soon as you take it form the cattery.
ABOUT US
Cann-Dee-Apple Cattery is located in our home. Our cats are not caged. They are a part of our family. Mary Jo is a registered nurse. She has recently retired from a faculty position, teaching nursing in a local community college. Joe is a retired pharmacist. He has completed an addition to our house. It is a sunroom for the cats and kittens to enjoy. Cann-Dee-Apple Cattery is a labor of love, not a kitten mill. We invite you to come to Nashua and visit us.
